1 Annual Presidential Research Poster Competition
Your Poster Title Here Category Name of your School(s) Department Name(s) Students Full Names w/year (i.e. Smith, J.A. 1st year UG) or grad status (i.e. MS/PhD/Postdoc) , Faculty’s Full Name (i.e. Skalak, TC) Goal: Showcase your most exciting research or creative work. Requirements: You must include the poster title and author information in the format specified above, and must preserve the footer located at the bottom (UVa logo and text). Complete the requested 150 word text in the grey area to the right, keeping the same font and size of text (24 Arial). You may use just text or bulleted items. Remember that your work must be current, meaning that it should have been published or completed within the last two years. Everything else is up to you, so please use photos, graphics, etc. and be as creative as you would like! Last year's winning posters available on the inauguration website. Check them out at: Please include here a statement of no more than 150 words on the impact of your work and how it addresses the five primary criteria of the competition, which are: 1. Quality of inquiry, performance, design, and outcomes; 2. Potential impact on or contribution to society; 3. Advance in Knowledge; 4. Innovation, creativity, risk-taking, exploration at frontiers; and 5. Collaboration with inside and outside partners. Scholars, faculty, and students from other disciplines should be able to read the text in this box and understand the relevance and importance of your work. The printed size of the displayed posters will be 18 x 24 (portrait). You must use font of this size (24 Arial) in the grey area for consistency and readability.
