3 LMEvents Landing Page Menu Bar. Some are separate sites. Some are modified via Site Navigation. Custom logo buttons. Must be modified by TBiz. Quick Links. Populated and modified through a list. RSS feed. URL input into web part. Content Editor Web Parts. Modified through the Content Editor. The Feedback web part. address is Helpful Hints web part. Hints are from a list on the lmtravelsource site. Current News – pulls from articles marked as Current News in the page properties “Display on Events Home Page” area.

4 Accessing the Editing Tools via Site Actions
The SharePoint editing tools are only available to users that are granted permission. An ID and password are required to access the tools. To access the SharePoint editing tools, scroll to the bottom of the landing page. Click on the Sign In link In the User name field enter global\ and the SG ID assigned to you Enter your password in the Password field The Site Actions drop down menu is displayed at the top of the page.

5 Add a New page 3 For this example, we will be adding a new page to the Events Program site. Note: There are multiple ways to add and edit a page. This is one example. From the Pages site: Click on New Select the LMC Publishing page type 1 From the Events Program site: Click on Site Actions Select View All Site Content 4 Input the page title The description is optional Select a page layout 2 From the All Site Content page: Select Pages

Now select Edit Properties to input your information on the page. 2 First indicate if the new page should be displayed on the Events Home page Enter the publishing start and finish date. This will tell SharePoint when to publish your page and when to move it to the archive. The Page Content area is where the text will be input. More on that on the next page. The Rollup Image is the image that will be displayed with the article on the Home page if input. More later on that as well.

7 Add a New page (cont.) Adding page content
To input the information you want displayed on the page, click Edit Content. A text editor menu is displayed. In addition to standard editing features like cut, copy, paste, font size, bold, italics, alignment, etc. You can add tables, hyperlinks and images to your content. Type the information you want displayed into the content area. Run the Spell Check if desired A Rollup Image can be added to be displayed on the Home. How to add an image will be explained on the next page.

After clicking the Edit Image link, select the Browse button to access Site Collection Images library. Double check your content, image and publishing dates. Select OK 2 Select the desired image. Additional images can be accessed by using the page navigation area. Click OK

Select Major version so SharePoint will publish your article immediately. Add a comment if desired. Click OK 1 From the Pages Library, select Check In from the drop down list . 3 Your new page is published!

10 Changing the Quick Links list
Items contained in a list are easily changed via the SharePoint editor. The Quick Links and Helpful hints are stored in Lists. 1 2 In the All Site Content Page, the Lists are displayed. Select Quick Links to edit Click on Site Actions Select View All Site Content Change To change an existing item: Click on the item you want to change Select Edit Item Add To add a menu item: Click on New Select New Item

11 Changing the Helpful Hints list
The Helpful Hints list is hosted on the lmtravelsource site so you will need to be on that site to update the list. 1 2 In the All Site Content Page, the Lists are displayed. Select Helpful Hints to edit The steps to add and change are the same Quick Links Click on Site Actions Select View All Site Content Hint Type Since Helpful Hints are shared with lmtravelsource, you must select if you want the hint displayed on LMEvents, lmtravelsource or both.

12 Changing the Supplier Agreements and Planner Resources menu
The Supplier Agreements and Planner Resources menus an be updated/changed under the Site Action drop down using the Site Settings menu. 2 1 The list of menu options are displayed under the Navigation Editing and Sorting area. Highlight a link and click Edit to update. Highlight the Heading and click Add link to add to the menu. Adding a Heading will create a new menu on the menu bar. Click on Site Actions Select Site Settings Select Modify Navigation

13 Add an RSS feed 3 1 2 4 From the page that you want to add the feed:
Click on Site Actions Select Edit Page 1 Click RSS Viewer Click Add An RSS Viewer web part is then added to the area you selected 2 4 Click on the “Add Web Part” button where you would like to add the feed To input the Title and RSS URL information: Click Edit Select Modify Shared Web Part

If it looks okay, click Publish 1 There are many design and layout properties you can configure. The most important are: Title RSS Properties Click OK to save your settings 2

15 Uploading a document Documents that are to be displayed on the site should be uploaded to either the Site Collection Documents or the Documents section of the site you wish to display it on. The advantage of putting it in the Site Collection Documents area is that those documents are available throughout the site. 1 2 In the All Site Content Page, select Site Collection Documents Click on Site Actions Select View All Site Content 3 Select Upload Document 4 Click the browse button and navigate via the Choose File window to the desired file. Highlight the file and click Open. Then click OK to upload the document. 5 Your document is uploaded.

16 Attaching a document to a link
Using a Quick Link as an example, this is how a document would be attached. 3 1 Click on Site Actions, View All Site Content and select Site Collection Documents Type in the location of the document. It is always formatted plus extension In this example the file name is Test Document.docx Select OK 2 Highlight the Link you would like to attach the document to and select Edit Item 4 The URL is updated.
