2 About Me: This is my 2nd year of teaching.
I graduated from Texas A&M, Class of '16 Whoop!! I am from The Woodlands, Texas.  I am certified in EC-6th English, Math, Science and Social Studies; 7th and 8th grade I can teach Social Studies and English. I also have my English as a Second Language certification.

6 Greek Mythology Finish 1st 100 Stems Imaginative Story Finals
3rd 6 weeks Greek  Mythology  Finish 1st 100 Stems Imaginative Story Finals

7 Watson's Go to Birmingham- might be changing
4th 6 weeks Fiction Non-Fiction Watson's Go to Birmingham- might be changing  Analyze Different Speeches  Persuasive Essay 

8 5th 6 weeks Poetry Vocabulary Reading Passages STAAR is in April
8th Graders have to pass to move on  OHJH and all your child's teachers are here to make sure they succeed!

9 6th 6 Weeks Stems Test Finals "The Diary of Anne Frank"
We read the play from our textbook The Holocaust Project  Students will be researching, writing a speech, and giving a presentation to another English Class  Stems Test  Finals 6th 6 Weeks

10 Other Assignments Independent Reading Grade based on
Revision  Quizzes most Thursdays Mechanics of Writing  Word with in a Word/Stems 10 words each week  Each week builds  Quizzes every Friday with 25 stems on them  End the Year knowing 200 Stems Independent Reading Grade based on Percent of goal met  Average percent correct on quizzes  No half goal grade this year, but will be in grade book, so you can see

11 Writing and Reading Notebook (W.A.R.)
Stays in the classroom, so it is always available for students. If a student would like to take it home to complete work, they just have to ask :)  Writing and Reading Notebook (W.A.R.)

12 Grading Policy/ Testing
55% Test, Essays, and Projects  20% Quizzes  13% Daily Grades  12% Independent Reading  0% Half Goal  Grading Policy/ Testing Almost ALL test will be on Monday or Wednesday!
