Shown are photographs of TM as seen by UV light gonioscopy (the 13-day β-galactosidase eye was fixed and stained with X-gal after death). Detectable Renilla GFP expression was always shorter lived than that of GFP, whereas β-galactosidase expression persisted longer than GFP only at the highest dose, when overexpression toxicity of GFP was observed.
