Reading:
This week we will read the story, “Jason At the Jump-a-Thon.” We will practice analyzing and critiquing a text. We will also be discussing character traits this week.
We will continue to work in our centers on raz-kids. Please
encourage your child to use this at home.
Writing:
This week we will continue opinion writing We will work on writing reviews on restaurants, books, games, and movies.
Math:
This week we will continue working in Unit 9. We will work mainly on recognizing and naming fractions this week. We will review for our Unit 9 test on Thursday and will take our test on Friday.
We will continue to work with basic facts on xtramath.com.
Encourage your child to use this at home.
Fundations/Spelling:
This week we will finish Unit 14. We will continue to review the main concepts that we have learned throughout Fundations this year. There are no spelling words this week. Our
Unit 14 Fundations test will be on Friday!
Notes & Reminders
Tip of the Week!
Math- Review fractions with your child. Divide a shape into equal parts and write the fractional part for each piece.
Reading- 100 book club forms are due FRIDAY! This will be the very last day that forms will be accepted. Make sure to complete your logs and turn them in by Friday!
Specials
Important Note: Please have your child log on to Raz-Kids at home. It is great for them to practice reading on those on-level texts. Each book they read on Raz-Kids can be written on their book log and counts towards the 100 book club! 
