6 Pay attention. These verbs (was, wasn’t, were, weren’t) are the past form of the verb TO BE. It’s not necessary to use an auxiliary verb in negative sentences or questions. They change according to the subjects. TEACHER: Explain to students some important aspects of the verb TO BE in the past.
