The “limit of usable speech information” data points for the 10 listeners with high-frequency hearing loss for each of the two speech lists. Each data point represents the intersection of the consonant peak level, and the listener’s sensitivity threshold curve for the speech presentation level above which no improvement in speech recognition was noted.
