Be thankful to God. (Psalm 100:4-5)
With thanksgiving let your request be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6-7)
In everything give thanks. (1 Thess. 5:18)

4. David was concerned about his thoughts and words…
David possessed a desire to restrain his mouth. (Psalm 39:1)
What comes out of the mouth is what defiles a man. (Matthew 15:11, 17-20)
Bridle your tongue. (James 1:26)
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth. (Ephesians 4:29)

5. David Loved Unity…
It is good and pleasant for brethren to dwell together in unity. (Psalm 133:1)
Jesus prayed for unity. (John 17:20-23)
Be united together. (Philippians 1:27)
Keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:1-6)

6. David Hated Every False Way…
David hated those who regarded useless idols. (Psalm 31:6)
David made a vow to God to know no wickedness. (Psalm 101:3-4)
Do not enter the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evil. (Proverbs 4:14-15)
Abhor what is evil. (Romans 12:9)

7. David Acknowledged His Sin and His Need For God…
Sin is lawlessness. (1 John 3:4)
David confessed his sins. (2 Samuel 12:13)
David prayed to God and asked for the forgiveness of his sins. (Psalm 25:11, 51:1-2)
David showed godly sorrow, and godly sorrow produces repentance, leading to salvation. (2 Corinthians 7:10)

8. What Must I Do To Be Saved?
Hear the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
Believe in Jesus Christ. (John 8:24)
Repent of sins. (Luke 13:3,5)
Confess Jesus Christ. (Matthew 10:32)
Be baptized for the remission of your sins.(Acts 2:38)
Remain faithful. (Revelation 2:10)
