SITS tendon arrangement on the humerus
SITS tendon arrangement on the humerus. A) Drawing is of a left shoulder and the photo is of a right shoulder. From anterior to posterior, the rotator cuff tendon insertions on the greater tubercle include the supraspinatus, infraspinatus, and teres minor. The rotator cuff tendon inserting on the lesser tubercle is the subscapularis. B) Drawing is of a right shoulder with the humerus removed. With the humerus removed, the arrangement of the rotator cuff muscles around the glenoid fossa appears as a cuff surrounding the glenohumeral joint.
