2 Figure 1 The 1- and 2-year percent survival of 28 patients who had undergone a cardiac catheterization and subsequently received an allograft is shown. These data are compared with reported national data for deceased and live donor kidney transplants. Five of the 28 patients received a live donor allograft. Fourteen of the 28 patients were included in the 1-year data and 8 in the 2-year data. Fourteen patients had been transplanted during the last 12 months of the study. None of the 28 allograft recipients died or experienced a failed allograft. American Journal of Cardiology  , DOI: ( /j.amjcard ) Copyright © 2016 Elsevier Inc. Terms and Conditions

3 Figure 2 The annual mortality of diabetic patients and the overall annual mortality for all patients who had undergone coronary angiography and who remained on the waiting list are depicted. The data for 2013 include 105 patients (77 with diabetes mellitus and 28 without). The data for 2014 include 125 patients (91 with diabetes mellitus and 34 without). The data are compared with reported national annual mortality data for diabetic patients and for all patients awaiting a kidney transplant.
