Actions of Leukotriene Antagonists and Corticosteroids
Actions of Leukotriene Antagonists and Corticosteroids. Leukotriene antagonists block lipoxygenase (LOX) or leukotriene receptors, thereby limiting their inflammatory effects. Corticosteroids promote the inhibition of phospholipase A2 and, therefore, the arachidonic acid pathway.
