1. Dear Third Grade Parents,
Welcome to third grade! I thought this would be a great time to let you know what your child will need for the third grade. We know that there are many Back to School sales throughout the summer and you might find it helpful when making necessary purchases.
The following items will be needed to make our school year organized and successful:
One 1-1/2 inch three ring binder with outside clear plastic sleeve and interior pockets. (Please do not purchase trapper keepers. We do not have desks and they take up space)
3 Spiral Notebooks (Single subject-regular ruled)
10 Glue Sticks (Put in a Ziploc bag)
1 highlighter (any color)
Pencils (at least 2 dozen-traditional yellow #2 )
Erasers
Colored pencils
Markers
Scissors (Please, no sharp points)
A pencil box (no bigger than the ones to the right
Black Dry Erase Marker(s)-skinny and Eraser (a sock works well)
Clorox Wipes
Tissues
Hand Sanitizer
Head Phones-earbuds ONLY for personal use. Can get at dollar store!!!
Finally, enjoy the last few weeks. I hope you were able to practice your addition and subtraction facts as well as read a good book or two to keep your mind sharp. I am looking forward to meeting and learning with you in third grade.
