2 The urgent request of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect. James 5:16

3 But let us ask in faith without doubting…
But let us ask in faith without doubting…. (The person who doubts) should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. James 1:6-7 “I assure you: If you have faith and do not doubt…. And if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Matthew 21:21-22

4 What is the difference between
having faith that God is ABLE to grant our request and having faith that God WILL grant our request? Now to Him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think…. Ephesians 3:20

5 2 Just then some men brought to Jesus a paralytic lying on a mat
2 Just then some men brought to Jesus a paralytic lying on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, “Your sins are forgiven.” 3 At this, some of the scribes said among themselves, “He’s blaspheming!” 4 But perceiving their thoughts, Jesus said, “Why are you thinking evil things in your hearts? 5 For which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 6 But so you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” – then He said to the paralytic, “Get up, pick up your mat, and go home.” 7 And he got up and went home. Matthew 9:2-7

6 20 Just then, a woman who had suffered from bleeding for 12 years approached from behind and touched the tassel on Jesus’ robe,  21 for she said to herself, “If I can just touch His robe, I’ll be made well! ” 22 But Jesus turned and saw her. “Have courage, daughter,” He said. “Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that moment. Matthew 9:20-22

7 27 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, shouting, “Have mercy on us, Son of David! ” 28 When He entered the house, the blind men approached Him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I can do this? ” “Yes, Lord,” they answered Him. 29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “Let it be done for you according to your faith!”  30 And their eyes were opened. Matthew 9:27-30

8 4 Then Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown, among his relatives, and in his household.”  5 So He was not able to do any miracles there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.  6 And He was amazed at their unbelief. Mark 6:4-6

9 5 When He entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,  6 “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible agony! ” 7 “I will come and heal him,” He told him. 8 “Lord,” the centurion replied, “I am not worthy to have You come under my roof. But only say the word, and my servant will be cured.  9 For I too am a man under authority, having soldiers under my command. I say to this one, ‘Go! ’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come! ’ and he comes; and to my slave, ‘Do this! ’ and he does it.” 10 Hearing this, Jesus was amazed and said to those following Him, “I assure you: I have not found anyone in Israel with so great a faith!” Matthew 8:5-10

10 And Jesus was amazed at their unbelief.
Mark 6:6 Hearing this, Jesus was amazed and said to those following Him, “I assure you: I have not found anyone in Israel with so great a faith!” Matthew 5:10 “amazed” occurs 43 times in the NT 41 times: people amazed at Jesus/other people/an event 2 times: Jesus was amazed at people
