5. Jesus and Prayer
Jesus told us that we should pray to God and he showed how to pray by giving us the Lords Prayer.
Look at the Lords prayer below and note:
What are the main things that Jesus talks to God about/says to God?
Focus on please, thank you, sorry. What are we saying please for, thank you for and sorry for?
" 'Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.   Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins,   for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.    And lead us not into temptation.' "

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (I want earth to be like heaven)

Forgive us our trespasses (forgive us for what we have done wrong).
As we forgive those who trespass against us (and help us to forgive others)
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil (Help us to avoid evil and to resist temptation)
