5 Final days of Jesus’ teaching in Galilee (8:31 – 9:50).
Discipleship requires commitment (8:31 – 9:1). Elijah and Moses talked with Jesus when He was transfigured (9:2-13). Jesus healed a demoniac boy who suffered severely (9:14-29).

6 Final days of Jesus’ teaching in Galilee (8:31 – 9:50).
Jesus continued to remind them He must die and be raised (9:30-32). Greatness in the kingdom is achieved by humbling yourselves to serve others (9:33-37). An unknown worker for the Lord gave rise to Jesus’ words on the consequence of causing a believer to stumble (9:38-50).

7 Jesus taught on the other side of the Jordan (10:1-31).
Jesus explained God’s law on marriage, divorce and remarriage (10:1-12). Entrance into the kingdom is dependent upon receiving the kingdom as a small child (10:13-16). Physical prosperity is an obstacle for many entering the kingdom (10:17-31).

8 Jesus’ road to Jerusalem (10:32-52).
Jesus elaborated to the twelve what His enemies will cruelly do to Him (10:32-34). The Messiah’s kingdom is not like any earthly kingdom – sacrificial service, not the pursuit of power and position (10:35-45). Jesus healed blind Bartimaeus of Jericho (10:46-50).

Jesus taught on the other side of the Jordan on more time (10:1-31). Jesus’ road to Jerusalem (10:32-52).
