This month we are working on letters A, N, M, I, S, F, and R. We are also working on stretching out and spelling small words. We are working on the digraphs sh, ch, th, and wh. During reading, we are working on identifying characters and setting.
Math
This month we are working on learning our numbers 11 – 15. We are learning how to make 10 using different number combinations. We are practicing counting objects larger than 10.
Science & Social St.
How Can You Help at Home
For science this month we will be learning more about our weather and life cycles..
For social studies we are learning about various holidays around the world and about goal setting.
Please give your child opportunities to:
Practice writing his/her name correctly
Quickly recognize all 26 letters and the sounds they make
Sound out and write words
Read to your child for 20 minutes a night and fill out the bookworm
Review and practice sight words
Recognize numbers 0-30
Count to 100
Practice math and reading on MobyMax
Identify 2D and 3D shapes
Practice all items on the snowman homework
Practice making numbers to 10.
