2. How to Use These Designs
If you want to copy the design of one of these slides so that you can use it as the design for your own PowerPoint presentation, you will need to check your PowerPoint preferences.
See the next two slides for how to do this on a Mac or Windows computer.

3. On a Mac* Go to Preferences under the PowerPoint menu.
Select your Advanced options.
Make sure that you have checked the option that reads “Keep design when copying slides between presentations.”
*Applies to PowerPoint 2004 for Mac

4. On a Windows PC* Copy the slide with the design you want to use.
To retain the slide's original formatting click the "Paste Options" button, which appears under the slide you pasted.
On the button menu, click "Keep Source Formatting."

5. On a Windows PC continued
If you decide you want the current design template styles to apply, click "Use Design template formatting" (this is the default).
*Applies to PowerPoint 2003 for PC
