For the times that we have not been honest. Lord have mercy. LORD HAVE MERCY Lord Jesus, you ask us to trust you and the plan you have for our lives. For the times we Have not put all our trust in you. Christ have mercy. CHRIST HAVE MERCY Lord Jesus, you tell us that we shouldn’t let anything distract us from your love. For the times we have lost sight of you because we are distracted.

5 AMEN Opening Prayer Lord Jesus,
As we gather here in the harbour of you safety, we thank-you for fellowship and family. We ask that you will strengthen us, restore us and inspire us with your love. Fill us with your peace so that as we journey onwards we would pour out your love and grace to others. AMEN

8 Jesus told a crowd that a person who is honest in small things is also honest in important things.
He also said that someone who is unfair in small ways will also be unfair in important ways. Jesus warned his friends that money can distract us from doing what is important: loving God and other people.

9 Time to reflect on God’s word for us today.

10 Are we always truly honest? Do we play fairly with our friends?
Or do we hurt each other? Or do we take the easy way out? Do we put God before our possessions? Can we be trustworthy?

11 Are you ready for the challenge of honesty and trust this week?
Can God trust you with the small things? Are you focused on God and nothing else? Are you ready for the challenge of honesty and trust this week?

12 Closing Prayer Dear Lord, Thank-you that you promise us that when two or more come together in Your name you are with us. Thank-you Lord that you have been with us this morning and that you are with us right now. Inspire us as we leave this place to love and serve You always. We ask this in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. AMEN ‘Father God’ is not a Catholic expression and so should be avoided. Attributes of God (loving God, compassionate God etc ) can be named and might be able to be linked to the theme.

13 THANKS BE TO GOD In the week ahead let’s…
Be honest through our words and actions. Be fair when we play with our friends. Stay focused on God and not on things of the world like money and possessions. The call to action should come after the closing prayer for it is the message with which we are sent out into the world to act for God and therefore is the last thing we should hear in our liturgy. THANKS BE TO GOD GOING FORTH
