We are happy to have you with us and wish you a warm welcome. If you would like more information about our church and its ministries, please look for a member for the Welcoming Team by the TV after the service for information and a gift.

6 A special warm welcome Today we welcome Reverend Jennifer Frantz. Rev. Frantz is the daughter of Sue Frantz and works with LOMO as the Director of Congregation Relations. We thank her for sharing her time and talents with us. Please take a moment and wish her a warm welcome.

10 Benevolence recipients for 2017
The votes have been counted for our Benevolence recipients. Our four organizations for 2017 are: Local/State Christ Lutheran Preschool Scholarships Family Promise National/International Lutheran World Relief Lutheran Disaster Response

11 Anchor News After making the Michigan/OSU subs on 11/26 at 9 a.m., the youth will take advantage of having the group together and do some yard work for a local business (some weeding, cutting down long grass, and cleaning up debris).  We will plan to meet at church at 10:30am (if you are not already there for the sub making).  We expect it to take about 1 ½ hours.  Wear clothes that can get dirty.  You may want to have boots in case the ground is wet.

12 Anchor News continued The youth will be doing a candle sale as another way to raise funds for the 2017 youth mission trip and ELCA Youth Gathering in 2018 (Houston).  Be on the lookout for details soon.

13 Older Wiser Lutherans The OWL’s next outing will be on Friday December 9, at 11:30 a.m. They will be enjoying a bus trip to Sokolowski’s and then off to the Botanical Gardens. Please contact Harold Wagner with any questions.

14 Gospel in Action Opportunities
We are sponsoring a family for Christmas that has been a guest of ours during our host week for Family Promise this year. We ask for members to pray fully consider making a donation and contribute. Then the family is brought Walmart to do some shopping. Our special family is Ariane N. (mom), Anthony (7), Aliah, (5), Amere, (5), and Amari (2 months). They stayed with us in August and recently secured housing in Lorain in early November. Use a Family Promise envelope to make your donation.

15 Gospel in Action Opportunities
Our traditional Giving Tree in the gathering area will be collecting a variety of items that will be donated to Genesis House before Christmas. We will be collecting items from November 20 through December 11. Please no sample/hotel size items. Please see weekly announcements for the list of suggested items. This event is sponsored by Deborah Circle and CELC Preschool. If you have any questions please feel free to contact either of them.

16 Advent wreath candles There are Advent wreath candles for sale at $3.00 per package. Look for them in the gathering area. Monies can be given to Anita Hlava or turned into the church office.
