Just like in English there are different ways to ask questions! To turn a statement into a yes / no response question put > into the beginning of the sentence: Est-ce que tes bananes sont jaunes? Are your bananas yellow? To answer yes to a question containing a negative use > > >
If your question begins with what… use > > What do you eat in the evening ? OR > You can start the question with > but you must invert the subject and the verb ie swap the order of tu and manges and add a hypen -
In English you swap the subject and the verb to form a question… statement Icango. subjectverb question CanIgo ? verbsubject
In French its the same! All you need to do is add a hyphen Est – elle partie?Has she gone? Peux - tu maider? Can you help me?
You can also create a question by raising your voice at the end of a normal sentence to show its a question… Tu as des frères ou… …des soeurs?
