2. DOD SKILLBRIDGE
A program that allows service members an opportunity to gain job skills from civilian employers through Civilian Job Skills Training while still serving.

3. DOD SKILLBRIDGE

4. Military will allow eligible service members to participate in industrial training instead of performing military duties.
Participating partners will offer training at little to no cost to eligible service members.

5. AM I ELIGIBLE?

6. NAVADMIN 222/15
Have completed at least 180 days on active duty and are expected to be discharged from active duty with an Honorable discharge, including General discharge (under Honorable conditions), within 180 days of the date of commencement of participation in such program.
Be separating from the Navy and have sufficient time remaining under their contract to complete the program prior to established separation date. The intent of the program is for Sailors to complete the training while they are still on active duty. If a program extends past enlistment and is being conducted off- base, approval may be granted on a case by case basis.
Have successfully passed their most recent physical fitness assessment

7. Be recommended for advancement or promotion and retention on most recent evaluation or fitness report
Have completed their Transition Goals, Plans and Success requirements
Have attended an ethics brief or completed a DoD approved ethics training presentation within the last 12 months from the start date of the skills training program
Have not previously completed, currently participating in, or had participation terminated from an employment skills training program

Up to 6 months prior to separation

10. COMPANY REQUIREMENTS
Must provide training to service member at little or no cost
The training must offer the service member a high probability of employment
Training must provide skills that are required to successfully perform occupations in the civilian workforce

11. DO I GET PAID BY CIVILIAN COMPANY IF I PARTICIPATE IN THE CIVILIAN JOB SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAM?

13. Participating service members are not eligible to receive wages, stipends, or any other form of financial compensation for the time that the member spent participating in the training. e
