“The flipped classroom is a pedagogical model in which the typical lecture and homework elements of a course are reversed. Short video lectures are viewed by students at home before the class session, while in-class time is devoted to exercises, projects, or discussions.” (Educause, 2012)

5. Learning Outcomes for a Flipped Classroom
Measure learning by using a self-paced modality of delivery
Engage students through short videos – viewed prior to class
Allow for in class debate, discussion, activities
Construct or enhance critical thinking skills by challenging student inquiry during class
Accommodates students varied schedules and varied learning styles
Immediate feedback on essential points i.e., taking quizzes after videos
Student reflect on learning activities and gain confidence in what they have learned
