on-duty at all times (24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week)

Requests for walking escorts are taken 24-hours a day by the University Police.

9. Parking Services
Parking regulations are enforced 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.
Parking information is available at the Welcome Center located on the south entrance of Eastern Ave., the Information Kiosk at the west entrance of the Administration building or in the Public Safety Building
Please follow and obey all posted signs and/or curb markings.
You are responsible for knowing University parking rules and regulations.

Provide unlock services if students, faculty, staff or guests are locked out of their vehicle
Provide jump start services when needed on campus
Supplement the Safety Escort program when Eagle Patrol are not available

13. Bike Registry Program Free service
Bring your bicycle and an ID to the front lobby of Public Safety.
Registration sticker is affixed to the frame of the bicycle containing an identification number.
The bicycle’s make/model and serial number is noted on the registration form.
Information is entered by the dispatcher and given an ARMS number.
In the event that the bicycle is lost or stolen and then recovered, the bicycle will be returned to the owner.

In an emergency, get the message!
Cal State L.A. wants to protect its biggest asset: YOU.
Eagle Alert will contact all students, faculty and staff during emergencies affecting the university using the following information delivery methods:
Messages to Cal State L.A. addresses
Text messages to mobile phones
Messages will be sent when emergency situations arise, such as fires, earthquakes, and acts of violence or situations posing an imminent threat to life, health or the safety of our campus community. An Eagle Alert will only be sent after carefully assessing a situation and determining that it is serious enough to warrant a notification, or to periodically conduct system tests.

18. Crime Prevention Programs
Operation Identification (Operation ID) a citizen's burglary prevention/property identification program
—Participants mark their property with an identifying number as a means of discouraging burglary and theft
—This program also helps law enforcement agencies identify recovered property if it was lost or stolen
—Engravers may be checked out from the Department of Public Safety, free of charge
Rape Aggression Defense Systems (RAD) self-defense training is a comprehensive course for women offering awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance information, as well as basic hands-on defense training—courses are offered throughout the year
Next RAD dates are: March 28th, 30th, April 4th & 6th from 6:30 – 9:30 PM
With the knowledge that crime exists, and the active support of the
campus community, crime can be reduced.
