GEUS Understanding the Self Nature of self Developmental Factors Personality Identity Maintenance Nature of identity; factors and forces that affect the maintenance of personal identity. GECW The Contemporary World Globalization Individual, Communities and Nation’s Impact to Globalization. This course examines the origins of the contemporary world, focusing on issues of global importance.

Writing, speaking and presenting to different audiences and for various purposes. GEMST Mathematics, Science & Technology Environmental Science. Inter-relationships among components of the natural world People and the Earth’s Ecosystem. Impact of human activities on the environment Living in the IT Era. Science, culture and ethics of information technology, and uses for personal, professional, and social advancement. Students choose any one of these GE Elective Courses

GEMMW Mathematics in the Modern World Nature of Mathematics Practical, intellectual and aesthetic appreciation of Mathematics. Mathematical application tools in daily life. Topics in mathematics that every educated person needs to know to process, evaluate, and understand the numerical and graphical information in our society. Applications of mathematics in problem solving, finance, probability, statistics, geometry, population growth. GESTS Science, Technology and Society Interactions between Science and Technology Societal Impact of Science and Technology Appreciation Ethical and Political decisions vis a vis application of Science and Technology. Interactions between Science and Technology and social, cultural, political and economic contexts which shape and ar shaped by them; specific examples throughout human history of scientific and technological developments.

CORE COURSES CONTENT DESCRIPTION GERPH Readings in Philippine History Views, analysis and interpretation of Philippine History in different periods. Philippine history viewed from the lens of selected primary sources in different periods, analysis and interpretation. GEAA Art Appreciation Art Ideas Art Functions Art Appreciation in Contemporary Society This course introduces the origins and historical development of art. Emphasis is on the relationship of design principles to various art forms including but not limited to sculpture, painting, and architecture. Upon completion, students should be able to identify and analyze a variety of artistic styles, periods, and media.

Indigenous groups in the Philippines, their way of life, role in and contribution to Filipino society Gender and Society. Gender as a social construction, its role in and impact on different facets of societal life. The Entrepreneurial Mind. Meaning and attributes of entrepreneurship, the social role and impact of entrepreneurship Rizal Rizal’s Life, Works and Writings Reflective Study of Rizal’s works. Students choose any one of these GE Elective Courses

Traditional forms of weaving, woodwork and other crafts, where they are done, how and by whom, and their artistic and social purposes Reading Visual Art.
