1 Importing Quicken Files for Mac to Excel

2 Intuit introduced Quicken as a personal finance tool. If you also use it for your business purposes then you can run the financial reports and can export the data to use it with other programs like Microsoft Excel. Quicken is different for both Mac and Windows are different, it means you cannot transfer the data between these two programs. In Mac you can easily run the financial reports as well as export the data for using with other programs like Excel. Exporting the reports into this lets you to incorporate other data with Quicken report data. It means files exported from Quicken Essentials for Mac are compatible with both Mac and Windows Excel version.

3 How to do it? a. On your Mac device access the accounting software as well as open the file which you want to export to Excel. b. On the toolbar tap on the Export data button. c. To make sure that opened files can be imported in Excel choose the ‘To Excel Compatible Format’ option. d. In the File Name text box enter a name for new file. e. For selecting a folder where you want to save a file use integrated file browser. f. In Mac’s USB port insert the USB flash drive. How to do it? a. Now on computer system’s USB port insert the USB drive. Windows will assign a new drive as it will identify it as an external storage device. i. On Windows computer system, start the Microsoft Office Suite. j. Choose Open from the File menu. To navigate to USB flash drive you can use resulting file browser and then choose the document exported from the accounting software. Click Open for importing the file into Excel. g. With the help of Finder copy the document which you have exported from Quicken in to the USB flash drive. Afterwards disconnect the drive from Mac. h. Now on computer system’s USB port insert the USB drive. Windows will assign a new drive as it will identify it as an external storage device. i. On Windows computer system, start the Microsoft Office Suite. j. Choose Open from the File menu. To navigate to USB flash drive you can use resulting file browser and then choose the document exported from the accounting software. Click Open for importing the file into Excel.
