3 Ir + a + INFINITIVE We use a form of the verb ir + a + infinitive to tell what someone is going to do. Only the form of ir changes. The second verb remains in the infinitive form. Remember that an infinitive is the original, unconjugated form of a verb. It will end in a “r”.

4 Ir + a + INFINITIVE This translates as “going to…..” in English and is referred to as the near future tense. I am going to study a lot. Yo voy a estudiar mucho. She is going to go to Grand Island. Ella va a ir a Grand Island.
