2. What is the Sacrament of Reconciliation about? It is about forgiveness of our sins once we are able to recognize and be sorry for our them. It is not about us being bad; it’s about God being so good. It reconciles us to God and helps us reconcile with one another so that our lives can be full. Confessing our sins to a priest who God works through to forgive us.

3. Holy Family’s First Reconciliation Preparation The First Reconciliation preparation primarily happens in the home. The parish gives support to both parents and children through parent meetings and one workshop. Families work through the student book at home using the Family Guide. Do not fear!…we are here to help.

Encounter With Christ :Reconciliation Recommended Lesson Schedule September: 28– Lesson 1 – We are Made in God’s Image October: 5 – Lesson 2 – We Live in a Covenant with God 12 – Lesson 3 – We are Called to Forgiveness 19 – Lesson 4 – We Come to Reconciliation 26 – Lesson 5 – We Confess and Do Penance November: 2- Lesson 6- We are Forgiven and We Forgive Completed Student Books are due by November 9 th. Please bring them to the Final Preparation or to the parish office. Student Books will be returned at the Reconciliation Service

6. First Reconciliation Prep Schedule First Parent/Child Workshop September 28 th from 6-7:30 PM – Legacy Final Preparation Workshop November 9 th – 6-7:30 PM – Church First Reconciliation Service Saturday, November 12 th – 10:30 AM – Church (please be prompt) Attendance is expected at each meeting. If you are not able to make it, a phone call or email prior to the meeting would be greatly appreciated.
