4 When you are finished raise your hand I want you to write down your results on a piece of paper with your name on it! Stay on that screen while everyone finishes up. Once we are all done we can look more at what this tells us.

7 8 different kinds of “smart” People are smart in different ways. Some people say there are 8 ways people learn best. Each of us is unique and we all have our own way to learn.

11 Linguistic - Word Smart A person who is “WORD SMART” likes to: Read, write, and tell stories Is good at: Memorizing names, places, dates, and remembering details. Learns best by: Saying, hearing, and seeing words. Discussing ideas.

12 Logical/Mathematical Smart A person who is “Logical/Mathematical Smart” likes to: Do experiments, figure things out, work with numbers, ask questions. Is good at: Math, science, problem solving Learns best by: Working with patterns, putting things in categories.

13 Visual/Spatial - Art Smart A person who is “Art Smart” likes to: Draw, build, design, create, daydream, look at pictures, watch movies, and play with machines. Is good at: Imagining things, mazes, puzzles, reading maps & charts, making things. Learns best by: Working with colors, creating things, visualizing things, looking at pictures.

14 Interpersonal - People Smart A “People Smart” person likes to: Have lots of friends, talk to people, join groups and be around people. Is good at: Understanding other’s feelings, communicating, helping others, and organizing things. Learns best by: Sharing, comparing, cooperating, and discussing.

15 Intrapersonal - Self Smart A person who is “Self Smart” likes to: Work alone, do things on their own. Is good at: Understanding their own feelings. Setting personal goals and focusing on their dreams. Learns best by: Working alone, having their own space, working at their own pace and individual projects.

16 Musical Smart A person who is “Musical Smart” likes to: Sing, hum, listen to music, play instruments, learn songs. Is good at: Remembering melodies, noticing rhymes and rhythm, and keeping the beat. Learns best by: Putting things to rhythm and using melodies.

17 Bodily/Kinesthetic - Body Smart A person who is “Body Smart” likes to: Move around, touch and talk, use “body language”. Is good at: Physical activities (sports, dancing, acting, crafts) Learns best by: Moving around, touching and interacting with items, and using their senses.

18 A person who is “Nature Smart” likes to: Be outdoors, explore nature, help the environment, and watch the weather Is good at: Understanding plants, animals, the weather, and noticing changes in nature.
