24 Conclusion… What ever you do in word or deed do all in the name of the Lord. Timothy was living the life of a Christian abstaining from wine (I Tim.5:23)

Timothy was living the life of a Christian abstaining from wine (I Tim.5:23) He was abstaining from wine all together because: He did not want to be given to, or become addicted to wine. He did not want to make provision through drink that would lessen his inhibitions in his war against fleshly lusts. He wanted to have a sober mind that always is thinking clearly upon the revealed Truth of God.
