Russell Home for Atypical Children –Serving Central Florida for over 60 years –Have assisted over 2000 severely handicapped individuals –Currently house 24 individuals ranging in age from 6 to 60 –Use no government funding –Have been at the same location since its inception in the 1940’s BACKGROUND

5. The home is located at 510 Holden Avenue Abuts Cypress Grove Park They have been utilizing a portion of Cypress Grove Park –Since before we owned the park –Used for parking –Has our drainage structures BACKGROUND

8. They are requesting a 60’ X 200’ piece of land –For continued use as parking –For potential expansion area Also requesting a 5’ X 12’ temporary sign easement on Holden Avenue –This will be eliminated or moved if we widen Holden Avenue PROPERTY REQUESTED

REQUESTED ACTION Approval and execution by the Mayor of a Resolution declaring property to be surplus to the County’s needs and approval and execution by the Mayor of a County Deed for donation of this property to the Russell Home for Atypical Children retaining a drainage easement and an access easement over the property and approval and execution by the Mayor of a Temporary Sign Easement for the Russell Home along Holden Avenue and authorization to disburse funds to pay all recording fees and record instruments.
