3 Student will practice perfect verb tenses and learn to understand the differences between present, past, and future PERFECT VERBS.

5 Today, you will be: You will use perfect tense verbs to write sentences

6 Simple verb (what we learned last week) Verb: talk Present: I talk. Past: I talked. Future: I will talk.

7 Perfect verb (this is means the action has already happened) You always use the past tense form Verb: talk Present: I had talked. Past: I will have talked. Future: I will have talked.

8 Perfect verb tense again means that the action has already happened.  In present perfect- add has or have in front of the verb  In past perfect-add had in front of the verb  In future perfect- add will have in front of the verb

9 In present perfect- add has or have in front of the verb In past perfect-add had in front of the verb In future perfect- add will have in front of the verb Verb: slip Present perfect: I have slipped on ice. Past perfect: She had slipped on ice. Future perfect: I will have slipped.
