20 Main Idea Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) You can take action to reduce your exposure to health risks. Avoiding high-risk behaviors and choosing friends who do so is one of the best ways to achieve & maintain wellness. Lesson Home

21 Facts from the 2011 YRBS Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) Approximately 48% of teens did not participate in vigorous physical activity three or more days per week. 90% of teens avoid the risk behavior of riding in a car without a safety belt. 22 How to Avoid or Reduce Risks You can protect your health & minimize the possibility of risk by practicing health behaviors. Taking steps to keep something from happening and getting worse= Prevention One of the most effective strategies for protecting your health is practicing Abstinence.
