2 Welcome to Year 3! Thank you for coming.

3 Staff in Year 3 Classes: Coral class:Mrs Ballard Ruby class:Miss Rout Mrs Solomon, Mrs Giles and Mrs Bumstead.

4 Curriculum Forecasts Available at the beginning of each half term. Informs you of what the children will be learning in all subjects. Information about trips, assemblies and P.E. days.

5 Attendance and Punctuality School doors open:8:45 Doors close: 8:55 If your child is absent or late, they will have missed a part of their learning. Attendance and punctuality awards are presented to the class with the highest attendance and the least number of lates on Fridays. 96.6% expected

6 School Uniform

7 P.E Please have PE kit in school everyday.

8 PE Kits No Jewellery! Long hair must be tied back!

9 Homework Literacy homework: Spelling + Grammar/Reading Sent out: Tuesday Due back: On the following Monday Maths homework: Sent out: Friday Due back: On the following Thursday Creative topic homework: beginning of each half term School/parent partnership plays a crucial part in your child’s progress.

12 Trips

13 Lunch Packed lunches & school dinners eat together with their friends in one place. Lots of children with severe nut allergies. We are a nut free school and lots of products you wouldn’t expect contain nuts e.g. chocolate spread, cereal bars and biscuits. Water is the only drink allowed

14 Stay on Green To ‘Stay on Green’ we will: 1.Listen to each other. 2.Treat everyone with politeness and respect. 3.Work to the best of our ability. 4.Help each other to stay safe. 5.Respect the school environment.

15 Behaviour: Rewards Bronze Better than expected behaviour/effort. Being polite / kind / caring / sharing. Silver Consistent politeness. Selfless behaviour. Gold Exceptional behaviour Significant Achievement

16 Behaviour: Sanctions Blue- Shouting / calling out during teaching time. Getting out of your seat. Yellow- Not following instructions. Taking or damaging other people’s property. Red- Intimidating behaviour. Bullying. Fighting. Child will be sent to a member of Senior Leadership Team (SLT)

17 Rewards Verbal praise Stickers Raffle tickets/points Prizes Star of the week Stay on green (bronze, silver, gold). Head Teacher’s Tea Party

18 Messages. *Adults on the doors in the morning will take messages and pass these on to the teacher. *If you need to make an appointment to see the class teacher this must be done through the school office.

19 Parent support and advice. Mrs Goode is a point of contact. Mrs Mouatt is our attendance and punctuality officer. You can contact both members of staff through the school office.
