11 Deaths – by the end of the shift… Confirm death in the notes Complete an inpatient discharge summary (AdHoc icon in CRS toolbar) Ask ward clerks to print it and send to the GP (unless Tower Hamlets practice) Either certify (book in CD cupboard) or refer to the coroner Complete a cremation form if necessary

12 Roles 1 C-day person per side Team A C-day person coordinates other trainees S-day people to attend off unit calls Late people help with jobs etc. Structure of the day: 8 am handover 10 am consultant ward round 2 pm microbiology ward round 5 pm consultant handover; evening business round Out of hours Doctors’ handover sheets

16 NG Tubes You need to be trained to interpret CXRs of NGTs. Use Google Chrome browser and go to http://bold.bartshealth.nhs.uk You will need your Assignment (Payroll) number to register.
