Others from a civil holiday vantage point.
Still others, because our Savior was born.

As planned: His birth was prophesied.
Isaiah 7:14 – “Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.”

As prophesied: Jesus’ birth was told His parents.
Luke 1:26-35 – The angel Gabriel said to Mary: “Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.”

8. Mary Didn’t, But God Knew
The head she kissed would one day wear a crown… of thorns. Jn. 19:5
The hands she held would one day have nails driven through them. Jn. 20:25
That her baby - to be Savior - would one day hang between two thieves crucified as a criminal? Matthew 27:38 Isaiah 53:1-10

9. Thus It Was Fulfilled – Luke 24:25-27
And He said to them, “O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! “Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?” Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.

Our High Priest – to make intercession.
Our King – to rule over and protect our lives.
