4 Helpful Tips  All clothing and belongings should be labelled.  All correspondence should be returned inside homework folders.  All snacks and packed lunch items should be completely nut free.  All water bottles should be labelled. Please note: no juice in water bottles.

8 P.E. – helpful tips  Both kits kept in school and will be sent home at holidays.  No jewellery.  Long hair should be tied back.

11 Language Phonics/ Reading / Writing Jolly phonics = blending/skills and phonological awareness are strong predictors of reading success. 3 new sounds are taught every week but phonics teaching happens every day. Children will have a sound book which goes home 3 times per week. The most important thing is that children are confident with the sounds and able to manipulate them and use them regularly, for different purposes and in many different ways Reading Schemes used at Busby Storyworlds – 4 different worlds. Same vocabulary. Project X Literacy World Writing will be progressed through Foundations of Writing opportunities and shared writing with the Teacher
