2 Introduction: WBS 1-7  WBS 1-7 covers assembly of the active detectors and their installation into the cryostat vessel, transportation and installation of the detector in the experiment hall, and installation of all supporting systems (electronics, cryogenics, etc.) in the experiment hall.  WBS 1-7 Level 2 Tasks  1-7.1 Installation Project Management  1-7.2 Installation Planning and Integration  1-7.3 Readout Racks and Cabling Plan  1-7.4 Installation Execution The installation team (WBS 1-7 & WBS 1-10) serves as the primary interface agent between the subsystems during the installation process. 2August 10-11, 2011CD-2 Review of the MicroBooNE Project

7 WBS 1-7.4 Assembly & Installation  Major Assembly tasks:  Preparation of clean area for active detectors assembly  Final preparation and cleaning of cryostat vessel  Installation of cryo system devices (temperature & purity monitors, heaters)  Assembly of TPC and installation into vessel  Assembly and installation of PMT system  Preparation for transport to experiment hall  Major Installation tasks:  Rigging crew transport of assembled detector to experiment hall (LADTF)  Installation of detector in LADTF  Contractor execution of vessel insulation  Installation of cryogenics system pumps, piping, controls, etc.  Installation of electronics racks, cabling, etc. (L. 14 Overall Work Plan  Vessel design is an integration of all WBS sections  Fabrication by vendor  Installation by contract rigging and FNAL technicians  TPC & PMT systems assembly and installation in vessel  Fabricated parts delivered to FNAL  Assembly by FNAL technicians and MicroBooNE collaborators  Oversight by WBS 1-4 (TPC), WBS 1-8 (PMT), and WBS 1-7  Electronics installation at LADTF  Electronics technicians with oversight from FNAL electrical engineer  Cryogenics design is primarily from FNAL PPD  Installation will be by FNAL mechanical technicians  System check out will be by electrical and cryogenic engineer, assisted as needed by technicians. 14August 10-11, 2011CD-2 Review of the MicroBooNE Project
