2 Data1: EGA thermograms for Tobacco leave (Name of Tobacco: “ A PEN”; made in China) Zone A: 100200300400 50000 Average of 12.997 to 18.188 min.: CW706261.D 44 91 67 115 145 171 189 239 211 430 262 279 302 396 328 356 413 Zone B Zone C EGA thermogram shows the total profile of a tobacco leave by thermal desorption (Zone A & B as in above ) and pyrolysis (Zone C). The end of total decomposition temperature is below at 600°C, therefore we expected the higher pyrolysis temperature such as 800 degree will not give the compositional structure of tobacco leave. This zone contains several volatile compounds including nicotine, flavors and etc.

In order to clarify the above data, F-LAB will recommend the EGA-Heart cut GC/MS for each zone of thermogram of previous page.

At 900 °C of pyrolysis temperature, some of the key compounds degradated and its intensity was small suchh as nicotine. Furthermore its pyrogram is more complicated by comparing it to the 550°C pyrolysis temperature.
