19 NIPEC: 2012 The Future is NOW 10 th October 2012 Competence Assessment Tool It will help Team Leaders/potential Team leaders to identify the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for the role. You can use the results to prepare for supervision/appraisal and identify areas that you would want to develop. The Competence Assessment Tool can also help you to focus on areas for career development.
