4 American Staffing AssociationASA SKILLS GAP INDEX—4Q2015Source: CareerBuilder, EMSI ASA Skills Gap Index Overview  Hiring Indicator –Utilizes supply, demand, and total workforce data, measuring the level of difficulty to recruit on a scale of 1 to 100, with 1 being the most difficult.  Active Supply –Comprises CareerBuilder’s active candidates per CB resume database.  Demand –An analysis of data on 90% of the online market, gathered by CareerBuilder and third party data partners.  Total Workforce –EMSI (Economic Modeling Specialists International) pulls in 90 sources of government data on the local, state, and federal levels, including BLS.  Compensation –Most data are from EMSI. Salary data in green text are from job seekers who share their most recent pay when registering or applying to jobs, as well as pay rates shared directly by employers in the jobs they post on CareerBuilder.com.
