11 share your experiences today #BevExpo2016 Waste Management – Waste Hierarchy By using less material and better management practices it is possible to prevent waste Identifying items and components that can be re-used rather than allowing to become waste e.g. repair Turning what would otherwise be waste into something that has a use in a format other than its existing one. e.g. compost. If all else fails this is the final option for dealing with waste and involves disposal to landfill. Other means by which waste can be recovered. Examples include Anaerobic Digestion, incineration and pyrolysis. Waste is recovered in the form of energy and heat.
