6 6 Green Capacity Building Grants Prospective Applicant Webinar for SGA/DFA PY-08-21 Recovery Act  Background –$750 million for competitive grants for worker training and placement in high growth and emerging industries –Of the $750 million allotted, approximately $500 million is designated for research, labor exchange and job training for projects that prepare workers for careers in energy efficiency and renewable energy –The Department intends to use a portion of the $500 million to provide technical assistance for this program of grants

These grants offer an opportunity to demonstrate how partnerships between the public workforce system and other public and private systems can meet the workforce needs of the energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors and other industry sectors.”
