Watching You Psalm 139:1-12

All along on the road to the soul’s true abode, There’s an Eye watching you; Every step that you take this great eye is awake, There’s an Eye watching you. As you make life’s great fight, keep the pathway of right, There’s an Eye watching you; God will warn not to go in the path of the foe, There’s an Eye watching you. Fix your mind on the goal, that sweet home of the soul. There’s an Eye watching you; Never turn from the way to the kingdom of day, There’s an Eye watching you. Watching you, watching you, Ev’ry day mind the course you pursue; Watching you, watching you, There’s an all-seeing Eye watching you.

O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it. Psalms 139:1-12

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. If I say, "Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night," even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you. Psalms 139:1-12

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. Proverbs 15:3

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:12-13

Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?--unless indeed you fail to meet the test! 2Corinthians 13:5

What You Think About Watching

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8

Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled? But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. Matthew 15:17-19

What You Talk About Watching

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; James 1:19 So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. 1Peter 2:1

What You Do At Home Watching

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. "Honor your father and mother" (this is the first commandment with a promise), Ephesians 6:1-2 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Ephesians 5:22 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, Ephesians 5:25 However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. Ephesians 5:33

God Is Watching You

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Ecclesiastes 12:14 for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. 1John 3:20
