2. Wikipedia- (June 14, 1933 – April 7, 2011) was a convicted American serial killer. Edwards escaped from jail in Akron, Ohio in 1955 by pushing past a guard and fled across the country, holding up gas stations for money. In 1961, he landed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. He eventually was captured and arrested in Atlanta, Georgia on January 20, 1962. Paroled in 1967, between 1977 and 1996 he murdered at least 5 people and is suspected in many other killings as well. Known Murders- Edwards is known to have murdered five people, two in Ohio in 1977, two in Wisconsin in 1980, and one in Ohio in 1996.Ohio in 1977, two in Wisconsin in 1980, and one in Ohio in 1996. The first murders for which Edwards was convicted, of Billy Lavaco and Judy Straub, a double murder, took place in Ohio in 1977. He received life sentences for these crimes in 2010. The second pair of murders were of Tim Hack and Kelly Drew, another double homicide, in Wisconsin, in 1980. These were referred to as the "Sweetheart Murders". Edwards had been questioned at the time, but there was no basis to hold him. Almost 29 years later his connection to the crime was established by means of DNA testing. Apparently, Edwards's own child tipped off police about his possible involvement.

3. Lastly Edwards confessed to the 1996 murder of Danny Boy Edwards in Ohio. The victim was referred to as an adopted child who had lived with Edwards and his wife for several years. Danny's original name was Danny Law Gloeckner. Edwards murdered Danny Boy in a scheme to collect insurance money. He was sentenced to death for this crime in March 2011, but died in prison of natural causes a month later. Other possible murders- According to Phil Stanford in his book The Peyton-Allan Files, Edwards may have been responsible for the murders of Beverly Allan and Larry Peyton in Portland, Oregon in 1960.Two men were arrested and imprisoned for these murders, but released from prison early. Former Cold Case Investigator John Cameron was working for the Montana Probation and Parole Board in 2010 when Edwards confessed to the Wisconsin and Ohio killings, he said, triggering his interest in the possibility that the serial killer was also responsible for the deaths of Kalitzke and Bogle. 6. In 2009 NBC affiliate WMTV in Wisconsin ran a special on a 30year old cold case covering the brutal murders of Timothy Hack and Kelly Drew that had never been solved. A few days later a woman from Akron Ohio called the Sheriff’s office and told the detective “ I think you need to talk to my father “ Looking into the tip the Detective discovered that her father’s name was on the list of 75 suspects who were interviewed shortly after the murders. 7. Edward Wayne Edwards Born Charles E. Myers June 14 th 1933 and illegitimate born child to Lillian Cecelia Myers in Akron Ohio. His mother died of complications to being shot In the stomach on 8/2/1938 and passing on 8/8/1938. ( see death cert found on Familysearch.org / Ohio death Index/ coldcasecameron.com )

At 6 years old he was taken in by Lillian’s sister and husband Fred K. and Mary Ethel Edwards ( 1940 US Census records ) In 1937 Mary Ethel suffered from multiple sclerosis and in 1940 sent him to an orphanage in Ohio He was 7 years old and remained at Parmadale Orphanage until they rejected him in 1945 as being a bad influence to the other boys and multiple run away attempts. Mary Ethel passed away and Fred K was an alcoholic unable to care for Edwards he became awarded to his grandmother Annabelle Myers. 11. Similarities Zodiac Bryan Hartnell survived the Zodiac stabbing and gave a description to the police. The suspect mentioned having been in Deer Lodge Prison having escaped and stealing a car. “ He was barrel-chested, 5ft 8 to 6ft dark-haired and heavy set wearing a black hood that appeared professionally sewn with the zodiac symbol on the front” Betty Jenson in the first Zodiac attack was shot 5 times in the back. Edwards Made the FBI’s 10 most wanted in 1961 for Bank Robbery. He was arrested in 1962 received a 15 year sentence and served 5 he was released from Deer Lodge in 1967. While at Deer Lodge Edwards meets Frank Dryman … Frank is alleged to be Edwards first set up.. Dryman born and raised in Vallejo CA was a Cryptologist in the Navy that was discharged due to mental problems in 1949. He was picked up in Montana after shooting a man 5 times in the back. He was known at the prison to parade around the prison wearing a black Catholic Cossack with the Zodiac cross on circle.

14. San Francisco connection The Zodiac murder of Paul Stine was different than the MO previously carried out by the killer. Page 116 of IMEWE- In an interview with Dawn Bellett Edwards cousin she tells Cameron that her mother Beatrice worked at Lefty O’Doul’s located in the theater district in San Francisco at the intersection of Mason and Geary. This is recorded as the very intersection that Zodiac got into the cab of Paul Stine. Dawn followed with “ My mom lived a couple of blocks away from where Stine was killed.” On page 392 of Edwards book MOAC he quoted his aunt belittling him upon his release from Lewisburg in 1967. “ Ed please get out of the cab about two blocks from our house, will you? People around here have heard you’ve been released from prison, and our neighbors will be watching.” He went on to state how her indifference tormented him throughout childhood.

15. Similarities Zodiac The Zodiac sent ciphers to media and police toying with them. To date officially only 1 of the ciphers is solved in it states that he is collecting slaves for the afterlife. In Cameron’s book a fellow researcher by the name of Neal Weems Best come up with a key to unlock what he believes are the correct decoding of the ciphers.

24. Edwards Adam Walsh Confession? Several months after the Zodiac’s “Forced Bussing” letter of March 1, 1981, Adam mysteriously disappeared on July 27, 1981. Adam was born on November 14, 1974. Using July 27, 1974, as a clocking event, then this date was magically clocked to coincide with the 21st anniversary of the Korean war’s armistice in 1953. It is important to remember that 1974 was a busy year for Zodiac. Adam’s head was recovered near a body of water in Florida on August 10, 1981, which magically coincided with the 46th birthday of Robert DeGrimston, who was born on August 10, 1935, in Shanghai, China, which was a signatory party to the 1953 armistice. The disappearance date of July 27, 1981, also magically coincided with the 28th anniversary, or ash anniversary, of the Korean war’s armistice in 1953. On May 27, 2009, North Korea unilaterally decided to withdraw from the 1953 armistice, which South Korea refused to be a signatory party to it despite of promising to observe the terms of ceasefire. 25. Walsh Continued Edwards was charged with the death of his foster son Dannie Law Gloeckner. Edwards admitted on video that he planned the murder of Dannie. 26. Edwards and the Avery Theory Since the Netflix documentary of Making a Murderer many believe that Steve Avery and his nephew were not responsible for the Murder of Teresa Halbach. Or many believe that the handling of the case was wrong and that Steve and his Nephew Brendan were targeted. Here is what Cameron believes is the connection to the case.

27. Edwards Avery Theory 2003, September 11. Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Steve Avery is released from prison after serving 18 years for a rape he did not commit. After his release, Edwards targeted Avery to be set-up for murder, and killed Teresa Halbach on Halloween 2005 on Avery’s Salvage Yard by kidnapping her and killing her by knife, rope, gun and fire. Halbach’s remains are in shattered pieces, burned and placed in Steven Avery’s back yard fire pit. Halbachs vehicle is found on the Avery Salvage yard and Avery’s blood and sweat are planted in the vehicle. Cameron said Edwards killed several of his victims on Halloween. Halbach disappeared from the Avery junkyard on Oct. 31, 2005. Edwards reportedly only lived an hour away from the Avery junkyard at the time of the murder. ( only I could find on this was Cameron’s radio interview with Coast to Coast. ) Cameron also posted on his blog that a man who looks a lot like Edwards is in a scene on episode 6 of the Netflix documentary. Supposedly, Edwards would often attend the trials and funerals of his victims.

28. Edwards Avery Theory cont. Cameron states that this scenario has been played out before by Edwards on a case back in 1955. He also stated that Edwards again sent a letter to police as in all the other cases linked in his book. See letter on next slide resembles nothing like the zodiac or scorpion letters and no known cipher with it.

30. The Ed Edwards Theory While there is way to many connections to just be coincidence in the massive murder timeline of Edward Edwards. Along with both his first wife and his wife of many years up until his arrest who stated that “ he liked to Kill “ He defiantly from a young age established a pattern that he lived out through his life. I believe that he struggled with the Good vs. Evil side of himself which is why he wanted the positive reformed recognition vs. the locked up in prison one.. However still a very dark person. I believe that Law enforcement needs to look at his history and speak with his family. There is a whole movement based on the EWE Theory find it at In connection to the Adam Walsh case and the Avery case while again there are some connections those two cases in particular don’t solidify for me that Edwards committed those. However sadly there are many many more that the connection is just way to connected for me. I did not feel that Mr. Cameron was fluffing up a crime story for the reader I felt that between reading his book along with Edwards book he was not forming a case around Edwards story. Edwards story I do believe is a autobiography of his murders and crimes. As for the Zodiac in my honest opinion I did not know much about the Zodiac case prior to this investigation I have watched the BrainScratch video’s on the Zodiac. I can see a connection to Edwards. Also there are detectives out there that feel the same according to Wikipedia.

31. Other Theories While Edwards was a confessed killer maybe his book and blog posts about murders were him taking credit for others stories? Edwards was believed and FBI informant even writing a letter to the FBI asking for his case files so that he could write another book. He didn’t think it would be an issue as Hoover didn’t mind the first time. If the informant story is true he would have knowledge of many different crimes with details from other inmates. The rest of the information about high profile murders would come from media.

32. What I was not able to find.. I was not able to locate a birth certificate for Edwards under his two noted birth names – Charles E. Myers ( Meyers ) – Charles E Murray It is stated in Cameron’s book that Edwards an illegitimate child was born in the backseat of a car on lovers lane. I found nothing to that. His wife Kay stated he used thousands of Alias’s and had the ability and equipment to create ID’s

33. Edwards Pictures Since the MO of Edwards was to set others up for his crime there is a theory that he inserted himself in to pictures or video. Here are the ones where it is implied that it is Edwards.

34. The Memphis 3 Feeding his need for recognition, Edwards gained access to Hollywood movie producers and conned his way into the HBO documentary, Paradise Lost, The Robin Hood Hills Murders. He got himself filmed in his own murder mystery holding the murder weapon. Edwards appears standing over the grave of his own victims while the parents wept… In Cameron’s book he also connects Edwards to the JonBenet Ramsey case And says Edwards with this fake beard got his way into the Ramsey house by telling JonBenet that Santa was making her a special visit on Christmas day. www.coldcasecameron.com
