2. The Room Bench Everyone will have a lab group Supplies will be laid out on the desks when you come in. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING!

3. Sinks Don’t drink from the sink The only things that should be by the sinks are soap, paper towels, and a place for chemical disposal

4. Disposal Glassware Chemicals

5. Emergency Equipment Safety Shower Eyewash Fire extinguisher Fire Blanket goggles

6. Lab Equipment Hot plates/Water Baths They get hot! Do not remove glassware by hand, always use tongs If you get burned run it under cold water

7. Sharps Carry with tips down and away from your body Cut away from your body Only grasp by the handle

8. Petri Dishes Tape them closed Don’t open and smell them or anything weird like that

9. Practices Never eat or drink (chewing gum included) Avoid touching your face Keep chemicals closed Don’t wear your best clothes Always pipette with the bulb up and the tip down Be careful pouring liquids If you have an open wound let me know before the lab Never pick up broken glass
