4 ● Amphibians ● Amphibians are amphibians and are not reptiles because they lay eggs on water, they have a layer of skin, they have a backbone, they are cold blooded, and they live near water

5 ● The word ● because it is from a Greek word. Meaning 'double- life, And as you probably know amphibians can live in and out of water.

6 ● The amphibians ● Amphibians are divided into 4 groups: frogs and toads salamanders and caecilians

7 food ● the food that they eat is earth worms ● insects ● and ● arthropods

8 Amphibians habitats are: forests ● swamps ● Deserts ● Wet places ● Rivers ● Lakes ● Trees ● ponds

9 ●1●1 facts ● Amphibians lay and hatch their eggs in water ● Amphibians sleep in the ground during really cold or hot weather ● Amphibians are found everywhere except Antarctica.their are over 3,500 species of amphibians in the world ● Amphibians have soft moist skin

10 ● FACTS A pet toad in England was famous for living 36 years Tree frogs have sucker on each toe tip to climb trees or other things Some frogs have sticky mucus The skin of some poison dart frogs can kill ten people

14 ●.●. life The life cycle of most amphibians begins in water when the female lays eggs that are fertilized outside of her body. The eggs then hatch into larvae, or tadpoles, that breathe through external gills. The larvae grow flat tails and feed on vegetation. ● fact: Amphibians evolved from fish about 400 million years ago. Most amphibians spend there lives in water ● Amphibians live part of there life on land
