א – Aleph is the first letter of the aleph-bet and carries the value of 1, and 1,000. It is pronounced ‘ah-lef’. In Hebrew, or עִבְרִית Evrit, Aleph is spelled אָלֶף.

Let’s break down this word, Aleph

We see 2 yuds and one vav. Remember all letters have a numeric value. The yuds carry the value of 10. We have 2 of them to make a total of 20. The vav has the value of 6 and there is only one. Add all together and you get a total of 26.

When you add the numeric value of the tetragrammaton.. יהוה..let’s see what we arrive at. The yud has the value of 10, the hey has the value of 5, the vav has the value of 6 and the hey, again, has the value of 5….equaling the same value of the Aleph…26. G-d is the Aleph.

Going further, if we would break down the letters that spell Aleph, we have the aleph ( א ) with the value of 1, then we have the lamed ( ל ) with a value of 30, and the final letter, the pey ( ף ) which carries the value of 80. Add these together and you get 111. Three one’s. Father, Son, Holy Spirit…all in one….the א.

Let’s get deeper….Since אֵל represents G-d…El. We know what some of the meaning of the א is, but let’s look at the letter ל lamed for a minute, (we will do a much deeper study of the letter ל much later. But for now, the ל represents, ‘to teach’.

So…since the א represents G-d, and the ל represents to teach, or direct, what does the ף final pey, or pey sofit represent? The mouth. How did G-d create the world? He spoke it into existence.

Aleph spelled אֶלֶף, notice the vowel markings, in ancient Hebrew means an ox. There are other things we will discuss at a later time. The א Aleph is silent, making a sound only when associated with vowel marks.

The Hebrew Aleph-Beit consists of 22 letters with words being read from right to left. All Hebrew letters are hieroglyphs which contain deep meaning and spiritual significance, much more so than English in which letters are simply letters.

א Aleph is the beginning letter of many of the sacred names of our God: Elohim, El, Elah, Abba, and Adonai are just a few. א Aleph clearly testifies to another aspect of יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua. א Aleph, being a silent letter, reflects the humility of יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua’s sacrifice for us.

He was the silent lamb of G-d. יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua did not answer his accusers as he was deprived of justice. Read Acts 8:32-33. Ac 8:32 Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this: "HE WAS LED AS A SHEEP TO SLAUGHTER; AND AS A LAMB BEFORE ITS SHEARER IS SILENT, SO HE DOES NOT OPEN HIS MOUTH. Ac 8:33 "IN HUMILIATION HIS JUDGMENT WAS TAKEN AWAY; WHO SHALL RELATE HIS GENERATION? FOR HIS LIFE IS REMOVED FROM THE EARTH."

יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua is the beginning and the end, he is the א Aleph and the ת Tav, Read Revelation 22:13. Re 22:13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." א Aleph is symbolic of one and also of one thousand. Why is this important? Because of the beginning text of the Word of God in בראשית B’resheet Genesis 1:1, this is the place where א Aleph shows up as the first time G-d is mentioned.

Our Creator, אֱלֹהִים Elohiem, created the earth in six days and on the seventh He rested,….This is שָהָת Shabbat…It is one of the ‘festive days’….a day where you get out of the regular mundane things of life… חַיִּים chayiym, directing our thoughts on the spiritual things….and of course..resting and breaking of the Challah Bread. He created man on the sixth day.

. Interestingly enough, the letter א Aleph shows up six times in בְּרֵאשִׁית B’resheet Genesis 1:1 בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים אֵת הַשָׁמַיִם וְאֵת הַאָרֶץ B’RESHEET BA-RA ELOHIEM ET HA-SHAMAIEM VE- ET HA-ARETS…(IN THE BEGINNING CREATED,GOD THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH)

Six א Alephs point to an interesting principle tied to אִישׁ eesh..man and the הָאֶרֶץ earth. Just as אִישׁ man was created on day six, and is the numeric number for man, he is given six thousand years to rule, and then יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua will come to rule.

. Lets read Te-hill-im Psalms 90:4, Ps 90:4 For a thousand years in Thy sight Are like yesterday when it passes by, Or [as] a watch in the night. Beit Kefa 2 Peter 3:8. 2Pe 3:8 ¶ But do not let this one [fact] escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

I highlighted the ET earlier. As we see the א (aleph) as G-d, and strength, יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua is the …let’s read Revelation 1:8, “I am the Aleph and the Tav, says the L-rd G-d, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Greek is, as we know, the Alpha and Omega.

The tav ת is a symbol of a sign, covenant, and cross. So as we observe the את ET, we see the ‘strength of the Cross’. Look at this scripture….John 1:1 ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with G-d, and the Word was G-d.’ The FIRST..the BEGINNING…the LAST…and the END!

Are you ready for this? There is an estimated four thousand years from the time of אָדָם Adam to יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua, it has been nearly two thousand years since יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua and so we are nearing the end of the 6,000 years.

. We are approaching the seventh day. Our מֶלֶךְ Melech..King will come and establish His millennial rule upon this planet; we will rest on the seventh ‘day’ in His perfect kingdom. Who is the ‘Kingdom’? יֵשׁוּעַ Yeshua

Some of us will say.oh..oh.. no…no.. and some of us will say..come on!...
