1 Apollo By: Kayla Bryan and Daulton Johnson English 1/Lit. M3

2 What are they in charge of?  Apollo is the god of music, prophecy, colonization, medicine, poetry, dance, intellectual inquiry, archery (but not for war or hunting) and the carer for herds and flocks. He was also the god of truth, the plague, and the light known as “Phoebus”.

3 Animals Apollo’s animals include the dolphin and raven/crow

4 The swan and fawn

5 The roe and snake

6 And the grasshopper and griffin

7  Apollo lived in/on Mount Olympus. City

8 Objects  Apollo was seen often holding a bow with arrows.

9 Greek/Roman Names Both Apollo’s Greek and Roman names are Apollo.

10 Relationships  Apollo and his twin sister Artemis were born to Leto. (a Titan goddess who was impregnated by Zeus during one of his numerous affairs)

11 Myths  When Apollo was only 4 days old, he followed and killed the Python as a revenge for giving his mother a hard time.
