He holds overall responsibility for Ubuntu engineering and leads our efforts in technology innovation, research and development, quality assurance and release operations. He also serves as Chair of the Ubuntu Technical Board. Matt led the team that created the Ubuntu distribution. Prior to joining Canonical, Matt was involved in a number of US government departments as well as a range of commercial start-ups.
