5 Food for Thought Our focus is going to be on how American society has changed, and how American government has evolved also. –We’ll be using mostly primary sources as our readings. What is a primary source? What should your analysis of these readings focus on? –What are the proper functions of government? –What do we mean by “constitution?” –How detailed should a constitution be? –Should a constitution be changed with ease or only with difficulty? –Which is more influential and has more significant results; society influencing government, or government influencing society?
